Unions have played a major role in many sectors of the American economy. In this forum, please make a case either for unions or against unions in today’s globalized economy. Include in your arguments and rejoinders the answers to the following questions:
Why do people join labor unions? Are there certain types of jobs where employees will not join a union?
Given the changes in employment and collective bargaining laws, do we still need unions in the US? What about in other countries?
Please support your arguments with examples from the text and other scholarly/ reputable sources.
